Umpires can choose to leave their gear at the dressing rooms overnight or take it back to the hotel.
Rules
Softball and Baseball will be played by the official rules of WBSC (NOT the Pony League rules).
Specific tournament rules will be in a separate sheet.
Scorekeeping and Timekeeping
Softball: Umpires are responsible for timekeeping. Home team is responsible for scorekeeping.
Baseball: PONY Europe will appoint an Official Scorer to all fields. Before starting the game, the HP umpire must check if the Scorer is ready and starts the game time.
Game balls
Softball: Umpires will get balls at the tower at field 3. Will be addressed at CM.
Baseball: The Official Scorer is responsible for game balls.
Ejections
Unsportsmanlike conduct, disrespect, or other situations that need an ejection will happen. Try to calm down the situations if possible, but be swift if an ejection is necessary. Make a note at the Game report of the ejection, player(s)/coach(es) involved, the reason.
Speed up rules
Games are being played with a time restraint, so it’s important to keep the game going.
Break up conferences QUICKLY (coaches 30 seconds, catchers 15 seconds).
"Illegally" Stepping out of the batters box = +1 strike. Teams will be warned at the Technical Meeting!

Michael: “It’s my experience that all the cash I need is the CZK 2000 we get from PONY Europe. I use cash or card/mobile device to pay for the (very cheap!) drinks at the ballpark, and at a bar if we go out in the evening. If I buy something at Honig’s or somewhere in Prague I use cards or mobile. And in case I do need (more) cash, an ATM is always close. No problem!”
